studying in Wyoming

For ten days in May and ten more days in September of 2005 Bart traveled to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to study with master landscape painter Scott Christensen. The ten days in May were used to review the basics of design and color as applied to landscape painting. The history of American landscape painting was reviewed and directed toward the future.

The days in September were spent painting on location in the area around Turpin Meadows Ranch. Scott was very generous with his time and sharing his expertise in painting and art business. Bart attributes much of his development in the last year to his time studying with Scott.
